The author Patrick Rothfuss does an excellent job using different accuracies in the book that makes the main character relatable for me. I like how the authors keep the fact of his parents in the back of his head but keep it vey important that he finds what happens. He meets a lot of friends and foes on his journey to figuring out what happened, and many are a significant help for his journey and answering many unknown question. I like how Patrick Rothfuss keeps the reader guessing the whole book and keeps the reader intrigued and waiting for the next whoa moment. One thing that I thought was interesting was the at the beginning of the book wasn’t he story. I liked the fact that Chronicler sat out to find the story of kote and his determination and his aggressive approach made me interested in what makes his story so special and that as a reader got my attention to keep reading. I had some things that I didn’t like about the book and they were the reason that I lost interest in some of the chapter. I didn’t like how they mad kote as the brightest and smartest kid coming up but freezes up in key situation. Another thing is that I hate is how there could be an action-packed chapter that would have you guessing on what’s going on to what’s going to happen next; to the next couple of chapters of boring stuff waiting to see what is going to happen next that should have been in previous chapters. There we plenty of non-forgetful moments in the book but my favorite was when he saved the girl when he started the fire in the lab. I chose it because it was on of the rare sights of kote springing in to action and not being stuck in a day and he save his life and a girl’s life too. “Perhaps the greatest faculty our minds process is the ability to cope with pain. Classic thinking teaches us of the four doors of the mind, which everyone moves through according to their need” ( Rothfuss 135) I feel that this is true because the door of sleep, forgetting, madness, and death are very relatable because if you really think everyone faces one of the door doors when they are going through pain.” More or less. You have to be bit of a liar to tell a story the right way. Too much truth confuses the facts. Too much honestly makes you sound insincere.”( Rothfuss 203). This is very true because when anyone is telling you a story you might not get all the true facts in the story and still believe it and think its good because even though things are left out the still fit to make the story right. In overall, I rate this read an eight out of ten it made me want to read the other books but a hope for more actions. This book would be great for anyone seeking to read a good fantasy novel that would keep then wanting to read to the very end. I would recommend the book because it give relatable events, it shows fight and determination, and it shows through any significant experience that happens in your life you can always overcome. ...more "
