Since I’m a kid Stephen King’s words have spoken to me. I find a lot of comfort in his wisdom and writing style. This was one of those introspective self explorational lines that really marinated and sat with me. His light focus on the human condition through fantasy experience is beautiful. This one line in Fairytale to me encapsulates the greatness that is Stephen King. A humble, wise, and prophetic story teller.
