" I loved this book and I'm going to try to write coherently but I probably won't be able to muster. Okay, let's start off with the beginning of this book. Both Tamlin and Feyre are emotionally wrecked from what happened Under the Mountain although Fey I loved this book and I'm going to try to write coherently but I probably won't be able to muster. Okay, let's start off with the beginning of this book. Both Tamlin and Feyre are emotionally wrecked from what happened Under the Mountain although Feyre is now Made, she still has the soul of a human and cannot stop the nightmares of what she's done for Tamlin. Unfortunately they're not the same characters readers fell in love with and that's okay. It wouldn't make sense for them to be okay after the terror they witness, it is clear they both suffer from PTSD and are trying their best to act like everything is normal but it's not.

With Tamlin's already possessive nature and Feyre's anger towards Tamlin not doing anything to help her, Rhys BEGINS as a great distraction. That's as much I'm going to tell you.

What I loved about this book
-Feyre's growth. In the first book she was a girl, she acted like a teenage girl but in this book, she becomes a woman. She becomes strong. She becomes ugh amazing I was absolutely dying over her growth.
-THE NIGHT COURT. Everything about the Night Court ugh it's so much cooler than I thought it'd be.
-Rhys' friends. They're amazing. They don't treat her with kids gloves. Feyre wants to fight, they're ready to train her, if Feyre wants to know the plan, they'll tell her. Unlike the first book, she isn't kept in the dark.
-Rhys and Feyre as usual, they're amazing. Their banter made my heart smile. They started off as friends and grew into something more. Rhys never told her she couldn't do something, never said 'this is for your own good', he was her biggest cheerleader. When Feyre held her own at the Court of Nightmares, Rhys was gloating in glee.
-Explaining the difference between toxic love and love that is good for you. Listen, I know many readers will be upset, they will feel Tamlin was bastardized, I felt that way too until I reread the first book. All the signs were there, what he was capable of. He never told Feyre anything, everything was for her own good. Also, how he treats his court. He acts as if they're beneath him. So Tamlin's characterization wasn't OTT, he was 100% himself. Overprotective, stubborn and a bit of a pretentious ass.

What I took from this storyline was that all love is not good love. Any love that makes a person thinks "I will burn down this city for HIM" is probably not good.

- Favorite part of the book, Rhys pretending to be the asshole the Night Court thinks he is and all his friends + Feyre playing along.

I just loved this book. Everything about it. Even the ending. I cannot recommend this book enough. I do feel as if the tweens will not care for this book but it is an amazing book.
