Book cover for Call Me By Your Name
If I continued to feel this way, later I might try to play one or two preludes and fugues, maybe a fantasy by Brahms.

Elio is the most unconvincing seventeen year old ever to the point that both he and Oliver are Mary Sues; they're both unreasonably basic, everyone loves Oliver for some indistinguishable reason and Elio, a seventeen year old, is somehow able to transcribe what I'm assuming are incredibly difficult musical pieces with the ease of an accomplished composer. Does he literally have no life? How in 17 years is he able to attain such an ability? God he reminds me of Jude from A Little Life

“I realized then that pants and skirts, like gender itself, were not seen as equal in our society. To wear pants was to be dressed for power. But to wear a skirt was to be dressed to wash the dishes.”
Tiffany McDaniel, Betty

“And America, too, is a delusion, the grandest one of all. The white race believes--believes with all its heart--that it is their right to take the land. To kill Indians. Make war. Enslave their brothers. This nation shouldn't exist, if there is any justice in the world, for its foundations are murder, theft, and cruelty. Yet here we are.”
Colson Whitehead, The Underground Railroad

“When a writer is born into a family, the family is finished.”
