We discovered a bee on the top of our daughter’s car the day after Christmas. It was loaded with pollen and seemingly out of gas. After reading this I understand what was happening. My partner brought it some sugar water to give it energy and now I realize he helped the bee complete, possibly, their final mission. I can’t help but feel melancholy.
