“Homologeo.  Homo means “the same” and logeo is where the English “legacy” is derived and means, “to say” or “saying”.  This word is connected to the personal pronoun “en”.  Normally, to confess is to identify with.  For example:  I John 1:9 – to confess sins is to identify with the sin action.  That was me that committed that sin, no excuses.  Also, when we confess Christ, we identify with Him, etc.”
