Why do female authors find this kind of boundary stomping "romantic"? This is a man who cheated on her, knocked up and then married his whore. why would an author write something like this when he hasn't done or said shit to make up for any of that? I love cheating on the page, but hate when an author writes their hero as boundary stomping Neanderthals and the heroine with body betraying syndrome. It's as though a woman can't have a backbone and actually stand up for herself and demand her boundaries be honored. That we are incapable of making a man either show true remorse or walking away from him altogether. It's all so frustrating.
