Nor are introverts necessarily shy. Shyness is the fear of social disapproval or humiliation, while introversion is a preference for environments that are not overstimulating. Shyness is inherently painful; introversion is not.
Indian society, both the millennials and the gen Z, have a long a way to go when it comes to busting their preconceived notions about extroverts and introverts.
Apart from this book, Ted talk by Susan Cain, and reading "Personality Theories" by Carl Gustav Jung would really help for insightful perspective. :D
