The plot is a decent mix of murder mystery and attempt at justice for sexual assault. I wish it focused more on the main plot instead of including a ton of extra details about her family and people in town. It would cut the book in half.

"The plot is a good mix of murder mystery and attempt at justice for sexual assault. The way it all played out was predictable which is expected as it's a kind of historic fiction. There were some parts that really sat with you and there was a good shock towards the end when the villian got what was coming to him.
