She lost a fetus, and you lost a three-year-old with special needs who required your undivided attention at all hours.
A baby, not a fetus. She lost a baby and that is something to be sad about. Both loss is a tragedy. And while I will admit losing a three year old would be a harder loss because of the time spent, any loss of a child is sad and takes time mourning.
