I am going to be honest, this book blew me away. I fell back in love with reading, and I understand why this has received so much hype. I love this so much that it is making me rethink most other books I thought I loved.

I am not going to lie, I was not completely in love with ACOTAR, and I might go back and change my rating after realizing how much I like ACOMAF. I really just thought that ACOTAR dragged and wasn't giving me everything I wanted where as ACOMAF gave me everything I wanted and more.

I can't help but compare it to Crown of Midnight, the second book in the throne of glass series. The similarities stand out so much to me. Personally the first similarity in my mind is the fact that they are both the second books and that I instantly loved them more than the first. I liked Throne of glass more than ACOTAR but Crown of Midnight might be my absolute favorite of the series as a whole. The reason why I think the two #2's are my favorites brings me to the second similarity. In both of these books you are introduced to a new, happier way of life for our main character. You begin to see your cast of characters in a positive light and you start to get really invested in them. Like in ACOMAF Feyre is doing so much self reflection and she gets herself in a setting where she can thrive, instead of being held back. The found family and friendship aspect of this book had me hooked and so invested. And through the course of the book the characters go through highs and lows but for the most part you get to see somewhat of a resolution, which I LOVE. However, like in crown of midnight, the shit hits the fan and you are just absolutely crushed. I think SJM uses her second books as a major turning point in her series. For example in TOG the third book begins in a whole new continent, multiple POVs start, never characters, and greater stakes. Although I am absolutely crushed by the ending of ACOMAF I am so ready for what's to come.

I knew while reading that it was all too good to be true and I knew something bad was going to have to happen. I knew that they all couldn't just live happily ever after. BUT that ending destroyed me. Literally destroyed, I had to sit there and stare at a wall for like 10 minutes just to soak in everything that happened. I could physically feel all of the heart ache the characters were feeling even when All of the twists and turns were amazing and has set the bar so high for the rest of the literature I plan on consuming until the day I die. There truly are very few like queen SJM.

Mor: QUEEN
Cassian: OMFG I knew he would be my favorite from the first time he opened his mouth. He is the exact type of character I obsess over. He deserves the WORLD (& he made me not hate Nesta so much)
The court: I honestly am obsessed with how they treat Feyre and how they adopted her as soon as she arrived. The respect there is insane and makes me feel so whole. I love Feysand's dynamic as well from a relationship stand point it is truly so amazing and I love them.

Finally, LUCIEN !?!? I am sobbing I am rooting for him so hard he deserves happiness. ...more "
