I read this book over the course of 1 and some change years (I was never able to finish in time before it had to be returned to the library, so I was a dedicated resident of the "hold" list every time my time ran out). I think that's a good indication of my thoughts on this book. I originally thought it was just going to feel like just another mystery book, but it was anything but that. It touched on comparing values between people from VERY different countries and lifestyles. There was a touch of "how someone endures running away from their own life in pursuit of solving something bigger than themselves". All in all, worth the multiple library borrows and certainly entertaining
