" A group of ten people are sent to an island called indian island. They are all called there by different people, some being friends or just people hiring them for a job. They all get together on the island and learn of the hosts absence. They all tal A group of ten people are sent to an island called indian island. They are all called there by different people, some being friends or just people hiring them for a job. They all get together on the island and learn of the hosts absence. They all talk about how they have never met the host by the name of “Mr. Owen.” An audio recording goes off speaking of the crimes each person on the island committed and they all get suspicious of each other. On indian island in each of their rooms at the mansion there is a poem of ten little indian boys that died off. There are also ten little indian figures that lie on the dining room table. Throughout the book the people on the island are killed the same way the indians in the poem were killed. Everytime a person was killed one of the indian figures was broken or stolen. This happens until there are none left. In the end of the book the story continues with two two policemen investigating the deaths of each person and they figure out who the murderer was and how they faked their death and killed the person that helped them do so. Then they were just playing god and killing everyone out. It also reveals that all of the people on the island really did commit crime but were not sentenced.

This book contained much suspence and pacing like gothic literature does. The book went really into depth on the details and the author lengthened it to add the suspense. In the book it started out with a lot of mystery and confusion to intrigue the reader. It started the book with an unknown person inviting them all to an island and lying about why they are there and slowly it killed everyone off. Most of the book was with suspense and pacing but as well as that there was also twist and surprise in the book. The biggest surprise in the book was with the judge being the killer and not really being dead and him being responsible for the death of all the other people.

This book was a really well written intriguing book that I highly recommend. After every finished chapter I did not want to stop reading it and I was curious with how the book was going to end and what was going to happen next. There was a lot of suspense that made this book interesting. While reading this book I felt like a detective trying to put the pieces together and figure out who the murderer was really. It also had foreshadowing. Giving us the poem of the ten indian boys and relating that to the death of the people sent to the island it gave a good prediction of how the next person was gonna die. If you have not read this book I recommend reading it and if you have then you should read it again. I loved this book. ...more "
