"Love KSR, but this one was not quite as inventive or captivating as some of his other stories (the Mars trilogy, for example). But it was still intriguing, so I might have finished it if not for being interrupted a few days into the 2 week loan by getting notified that my 2 week loan of Dungeon Crawler Carl was ready." — Oct 12, 2026 03:53PM

"Good overall, but I only had a 2 week loan, and couldn’t quite get into a fast paced rhythm. The disparate stories and timelines will obviously connect at the end, but the gap between them didn’t create an urgency or excitement to finish the story. I’d probably eventually finish if I had more time." — Oct 11, 2026 03:29PM
