This book feels more geared towards Female LITRPG Moms fans. Not a bad thing, but I don't think as a male I was the target audience so it wasn't my favorite. The main character is basically a big Mother Hen, doing anything to help the children. Her big goal being to go against the system and gods to get her children back blah blah.

Now, that aside. The whole, 'Can't die' takes all the tension out of it. It shouldn't. Her friends can die. She can be trapped in a small box and dropped into the deepest part of the ocean to constantly revive, die, revive die for eternity. The fact this isn't a worry makes what is a good tension builder be missed. In fact her arrogance about not dying is so brazen that she just ups and tells everyone. Even followers of Gods who should be her enemies without a care. People who could send level 400s after her to box her up and toss her into a tar pit.

Then there is her personality. She says she doesn't want followers and is disgusted by the thought but treats everyone around her like servants or worse. She never asks, always orders or demands. She only gives them two choices, her way or leave..well or die. She is constantly insulting everyone around her.
If the genders were reversed and it was a male MC talking to his female party members like that, he'd be the most misogynistic bully prick of a Mc i'd ever read.

This book basically reads like a Karen fantasy of what they think the world views them in their head. Where everyone should stand up and clap when they are acting horrid.

All that said, to each their own. The powers aren't bad. The side characters have depths even if it feels...forced. Excused as 'fate' when it's just the author forcing things for plot. The storyline of New Gods, Old Gods, the System, Ancient Beasts, and her goals are sure to be fun for some parents. The touching doing anything for their kids.

While I loved Azarinth Healer and the MC's blunt no-nonsense personality. I felt this MC was more just unlikable. Basically only caring for people if they do what she says, otherwise they don't matter. The fact she has 'no memories' and still thinks that what ever she thinks is the only right way. Just ...total karen vibes.

So if you like a Karen power fantasy mom? Maybe for you. If you don't. Probably not. ...more "
