Mr Darcy seems to be only drawn upon by his noble countenance, features of face, and his wealth. Nobody seems to be thinking of the fact that of his PERSONALITY.
I wonder why such fast likeness. Is it beacause of insecurity that us females have of the idea that we will never find a home, which will allow us protection? That in the idea of marrying, that we will have food and an income that will look after us and we will finally be safe? That not being married, we will be turned out as maids, or are we frightened of being a burden to our parents or other people?
I wonder if males would feel taciturn to the rest of the company bestowed upon them if they were being surronded by women only looking at the aspect of their fortunes, not their feelings, or other amiable qualities should they have any.
Mr Darcy must surely feel uncomfortable, as it looks like he is being talked about only his wealth and looks, and all the ladies are trying not to look overbearing, but flattering at the same time.
I have come to like Mr Darcy aready; and I wonder what he is thinking about this matter.
