It is the book that launched the new feminist movement in Korea, and after reading it i can see why
Its such a powerful and impactful book and even though its less than 200 pages long, the author has still managed to cover different stages of the protagonist's life in such a way that every person who lives in a patriarchal, unjust and 'illogical' world can relate to and when it ends the reader would want more!
For me, i have noticed in the past couple of years that the ending of a book/movie is more important to me than the whole idea/plot because i believe creating the ending and wrapping up the whole story in a neat little bow is trickier than coming up with the new idea itself and just as strong the plot was, the ending was no less powerful
Though i understand this book wont be everyone's cup of tea because of its unique style of storytelling, the issues it tackles and how the author used real facts and history and mixed them with the fictional storyline, but i enjoyed it a lot and this book has become a new favorite now! And i would definitely recommend to everyone
