"The Highest Justice"
3.5 stars.
This was a very short female maturation story. A princess literally goes into the forest and has a very short adventure, except she actually dose not do anything in that adventure, things just happen around her, and we are supposed to believe this Romance that was never really set up, just plopped in front of us. I appreciate this story staying true to a female maturation story, but it felt like it just needs a little more. Recommended.

"Love Will Tear us Apart"

This story is what is wrong with Hollywood, romanticizing things, like making Zombies hot, we all knew this was coming because of Twilight. This is a young adult story dressed as a Zombie story. It is so unbelievable that this guy Jack would give up everything for this random half zombie guy he meets on the streets. Nope not buying it this story is making me go closer to team Unicorn. Not Recommended. I forgot to say that half of this story is written in second person, and it is through the half zombie trying to make you relate to him, which is just weird. It is very hard to do second person, and I do not believe this story pulls it off.

"Purity Test"

Okay so every single one of these stories so far has someone dying, and then just brushing it off like it is no big deal. The only time that makes sense is the first story which I assume takes place in a fantasy medieval period. But anyways this short story is a Urban Fantasy story, and is actually quiet entertaining because of the comedy and the situation the protagonist finds herself in, and the Unicorn in this story is just hilarious. Recommended.

"Bougainvilea"

If this short story did not end the it does, it would have received a bad review from me. However, the ending is wonderful and is a better female maturation story then "The Highest Justice" because this girl actually does something and takes action over her own life. So far, Carrie Ryan has the best written story and writes wonderful description. I might check out some of her novels. Recommended. ...more "
