Second Read 2020: Still just as good as the first time reading it. It’s a book that just makes me happy, I smile the whole way through it and I feel like I can relate and understand so much of what is being said and the message the book conveys. My favourite book and I aim to read it once a year from now on.

Third Read 2021: Third time reading and it never gets old. Such a feel good book with some lessons along the way. Despite reading it three times there are still little bits I forget about till I’m reading it. Can’t beat it. Until next year...

Fourth Read/Listen 2022: (Audiobook) I’ve read this book a few times so listening to it provided a different experience. I really enjoyed Jeremy Irons’ narration and I love the story in general. It’s my favourite book but I do think that I actually preferred reading it myself. That seems to make me feel more immersed in the story.

Fifth Read/Listen 2023: (Audiobook) Listened to this mainly while driving the cherry picker picking mangos on Brad Bowens farm. The time flew by, I love this book so much. I feel like I always learn something from it every time I read it. My favourite book. The part when the alchemist says to Santiago about going after what you want and your personal legend really struck home this time around as I feel like I’ve followed my heart by coming out to Australia.

Sixth Read 2024: Read six years in a row. Much prefer actually reading the book to the audiobook. Always a joy to read and remind me of lessons I’ve forgotten. Also reminds me of times where I’ve acted on my dreams and gone for it. Love this book

Seventh Read 2025: Will never not love this book. Always makes me smile and warms my heart. Can see myself in some parts of the story and always good lessons to be reminded of. See you again next year ...more "
