"More than anything, I just feel very sad on behalf of the creation. So far, he seems harmless and Frankenstein is treating him like a pariah. You wanted to reanimate a man from death, now here he is! You were convinced you could do it and you have! Why turn your back to him now and flee in terror?" Oct 21, 2024 05:35PM

"Okay, so we've actually got some good creepy scenes going on so far. It's reminding me of analog horror a little bit, but in written form, which I find really cool. This concept of a house that is so impossibly large inside that a man can get lost and be starving within it is so haunting. I really hope this book keeps up the energy!" Sep 29, 2024 04:59PM

“If you throw me out of this house, I shall sleep on the path outside. If you return to the Continent without me, I shall follow you. I will build a willow hut at your gate; I will sleep under your window; I will be waiting for you at your own front door.”

Eloisa James, When Beauty Tamed the Beast

Erin Hunter
“I have traveled so far and loved so much, and yet I am still following the Sun Trail, heading for my new hunting grounds.”
Erin Hunter, Path of Stars

“...their eyes met in a way that had everything to do with love, the kind strong enough to snatch someone back from the grave, the kind that never fades and never fails. The kind that has nothing to do with beauty, temper, or damaged legs.”

“Kill me," he rasped at Clear Sky. "Kill me and live with the memory. Then tell the stars that you won.”
