This manga makes you look past the obligatory roles of protagonist, and antagonist, as the leading character, Yagami Light, tries to create a perfect world by killing those he judges to be evil. Death Note will make you question your moral compass and your ethical sense. To those who retain the childlike Disney definition of good and bad, Death Note will not carry the heavy note it would with others, and anyone who roots for Light, should not, at least in my opinion, be considered anywhere near mature enough to be reading the series. Death Note defies more traditions, as both of its first two main characters die before the end of the series....more
