I just finished this book…based solely on the Recommendation from a friend who said “read this book”!
It was so amazing! And I was so happy to find out it was based on true events and actual people. I promise you will cry, get mad and cheer all the way through. The main character showed up and learned to be seen and heard. Not an easy feat for young women in the 1940’s.
