I'm enjoying reading about the early daze of Metallica. Dave's descriptions of his first disagreement with Lars - about the "science" of sneaker fashion - was hilarious & brought me back to ca. 1984-86 when I was emulating the denim & sneakers look. His details of the glam styled guitarists that didn't last long, his contributions to Metallica such as Jump Into the Fire. My dad, brother & I saw Metallica live in '85.
