This is so prettily written and utterly charming. I'm so glad I picked this up.

Somehow I get the feeling this was written under the impression of The once and Future king. The wittiness feels familiar.

I'd say this is a little more like Phantom Tollbooth than Last Unicorn, myself - it's great so far. (The bat was unnerving!)
