I want to preface this by saying i an definitely enjoying this book and it is very engaging. But I'm also having to do some serious suspension of disbelief.

Did the author make one of the characters a trivia nerd so she could just randomly insert all the interesting facts she found during research into the dialogue?

I work with conservators and I find it very hard to believe the a head Conservator would have mouldy coffee cups and dead bugs in his office. That's a collection risk.

I don't really know what my reading speed is but I'm pretty sure 40 pages in 15 minutes is fast, even for me. This has grabbed me quite quickly.

But I am wondering whether this is going to be one of those books that gives its MC several autistic traits but never actually confirms on the page that they're autistic? Because that's annoying.
