Status Updates From A Congregation of Jackals

I truly wanted to finish this tonight but there was a glitch.in.my plans. I feel like I have been grinding my teeth and sitting on the edge of my seat. I am hoping for the best and fearing the worst. This has been one emotionally charged and turbulent rides irrespective of what happens now.

The storyline is gradually but indelibly grinding toward a gory, bloody ending and I am apprehensive about the fate of the significant characters I care about. The book reminds me of Tarantino's Kill Bill but Zahler is a consumnate artist with the written word. Vocabulary, descriptive prose, plot development and writing realistic characters. This includes ones you would die for in the book. I love his work.

The chessboard has been set for Armageddon, and the time clock is still ticking down. This novel has a great plot and a great cast of characters.
Zahler is a terrific articulate and exciting author to read. Unapologetic and dark..

The narrative is riveting, brutal, savage, and altogether immersive and engrossing. I have not endured a dull moment. Yes, the story has included some extremely disturbing things, but the big picture eclipses the horrors I am enduring getting there.

Read first quarter and really am into the story and vested. I have wanted to read this from Zahler since I read Wraiths .
