Status Updates From Kin: Rooted in Hope

About half way through these interconnected poems. I am a slow reader and also found myself looking up many places, people, etc. Great writing, loved learning about the author's family's lineage on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Although this book is categorized as chidren's fiction, i would not recommend for those under grade 5, as I feel some knowledge of slavery in the US is necessary for context.
