I enjoyed it but also feel perplexed by the ending. I think it’s open to interpretation but am wondering if it is suggesting he dies. Good book overall, quick read, it’s a story I don’t want to put down.

What the hell does Catherine mean? Carl knows it’s a dream, but he wants to feel it with her

Carl was qt friends house and left suddenly to go back to hospital - very detached and uncaring . Car trying to turn in a narrow road - other drivers honking - eventually drives u to Carl and tells him to get in. Says he is his nurse from hospital and he meeds to go back urgently.

His friend Anthony makes him black coffee as he has no milk and it is repulsive to him - comments that they’ve know each other for years and he should know he doesn’t like it
