We’re so back? This book really has me then loses me with its elongated sentences and lack of restraint often, yet that’s also its biggest strength too. The visual detail, the depth of character dynamics, and intimacy of George’s inner monologue really are the biggest things connecting me to this and when it deviates from that into exposition dumping a lot it loses me and feels like it’s drifting from focus

Falling in love with random girls you temporarily meet and know for a little while as a young boy, yeah that’s real asf

Ok I’m really starting to get this. I still find the environmental descriptions at times a bit too elongated and disorienting, yet I still get lost in the specific detailings such as the gold accents on seats and various colours that fill a room.

Randomly bought this from a savers ages ago and just started it and it’s, kinda hard to get into, hardest thus far this year to really be immersed in. I feel like the writing is a bit sporadic and the visual storytelling either lacking in detail or just a bit random? Yet I still want to keep reading, I hope we get more regarding masculinity amidst war and his relationship with his dad.
