OMG I'm running out of patience with this book. I'm not even half into this book but the intense nationalistic language is starting to feel grating. Could this be my first hard DNF in three years? 🫠🫣

I used to be bombarded with "budaya Barat" nonsense as a youngster so this triggers an alarm lol 🤪🚨

Tanizaki writes in such an enchanting way about the past women of Japan, I’m enthralled by this new way of perceiving he has opened my eyes to!
