I am a huge fan of the books that were written a couple decades ago. The most obvious difference to me is the lack of Magic so far. In the earlier books the Magic vs. Technology tone, sold the series for me. Now its all genetic engineering and etc. I'm not sure about this yet...

A.W. Selby is finished

A really clever spin on the cyberpunk concept with some interesting world-building at work, some great satire and humor, and good action sequences. My only real complaint is that it's a little light on the description; Canyon creates such an interesting world that I want to know more about what it looks, feels and smells like! Definitely a fun read for die-hard sci-fi junkies and Shadowrun fans.
