First combat is an ambush and our heroes lack any situational awareness. Fortunately, even the enemies elite troops appear to be morons.

On the life's edge with this blend of Irish legend, fantasy, and sci-fi. 2nd book if a trilogy, it could teeter over the edge and be abandoned, we'll see how far I can stick with this trip.

I'll give it a bit more of a chance but not encouraged so far. Bad Irish mythology on steroids is not my cup of tea.

Holds up pretty well after all these decades.
