Issue #278 - Ragnarok is here! Thor, with his fellow Asgardians try to defend their home. But when the battle transports to a barren world (and the Midgard Serpent slithers away) Hela and her forces flee, afraid they’ve been tricked! Thor and the others return home for answers from the All-Father. What happens next is a bit of an overreaction (for both parties), if you ask me. But Thor is again banished from Asgard!

As explanations are given, Ragnarok creeps closer and closer! Hela and her army of trolls begin their invasion of Asgard while Loki pays for his crimes against the Asgardians. I am so excited to see the conclusion of this story line!

The trial of Loki! Honestly, I thought having a trial for someone who everyone knows has committed the crimes he’s been accused of was a bit silly but still...good? People's rights and all! On another note, the man named Roger ‘Red’ Norvell has somehow received the powers of Thor...and actually beat the original Thor!! Super interested to know what’s going to happen next!

Issue #275 - Balder is dead - Ragnarok is coming! Determined that the downfall of the gods does happen, Loki amasses an army of trolls from Jotunheim. Equally determined to stop Ragnarok, Thor follows his adopted brother and a fight ensues! To delay Ragnarok, Odin gives up a portion of his powers to create an Odinshield around Balder. It suspends Balder between life and death thus saving Asgard, at least for now!

In preparation for Ragnarok, the goddesses of Asgard have returned. Frigga is reunited with a one-eyed Odin (the first time we see his eye patch). Odin has sacrificed his eye to learn that if Balder dies, that will mean the beginning of the end! But if it was predestined, how can it be stopped? Especially when Loki is so determined to see it through!

‘Ragnarok doth come!!’ After witnessing Thor trying to confront the Midgard Serpent (flashback told by Harris Hobbs) Loki’s powers are restored (somehow) and he tells the Asgardians that Ragnarok is here! That final panel was pretty cool - up until the point where we get an image of Loki’s face and then it turned creepy!

Issue #272 shows Thor telling a group of children about an adventure that saw Thor standing up for himself against someone bigger than him. It was a little random and made Loki look kind of bad but I suppose the underlying message was a positive one!
