Status Updates From The Chosen

I'm on page 150 of 372 of The Chosen: Interesting story, which is not really all original, but interesting with some nice ideas. This is a book which contains so many errors that grind my reading to a halt... that it is making me reluctant to continue. Why do some authors not spend the time to have proper proofreading and editing done with skilled readers/editors? Indie or not, quality should come first.
