Just finished the chapter on becoming a stranger and how being open to the strange is actually a good, truly transformative thing to do.
We mustn’t get caught up deeply in journalling our experiences too much as some experiences cannot he expressed through words.
Also as a church we need to recognise the importance of a GOOD welcome!

Really powerful chapters, but 5&6 have been significant this week.
I’m not rushing through the book.
I have a real sense of conviction which can only be explained by the works of the Holy Spirit such as the ongoing issue of false modesty, which I’ve normalised so much in my life I don’t even question it until now!
In Ch 6 I’ve been encouraged to give up grumbling which will be a task but worth it!

Great chunk about relating humility to leadership, it hits home as I’m currently on a leadership development course at my church.

I have a renewed insight into the act of Jesus’ feet-washing his disciples (I won’t spoil it here though!)
