Status Updates From Hawaii's Story

The whole time I'm thinking, This is like reading Marie Antoinette's account, though I do feel bad for her; however, I feel bad for the Hawaiian people more.

This is so interesting to me, while I do not support the U.S. empire’s takeover of the Kingdom of Hawai’i, the queen is herself clearly invested in the continuation of a social structure that preserves her privileges and influence.

This has been a great find this ANHPI Month. Really illustrating the fallacy of the “no civilized Natives” settler-colonial logic.
