Status Updates From All the Pretty Horses

I came very close to not finishing this book.
It started strong with the escape and the ride toward the ranch. But then chapter two slowed down so much I almost gave up. I'm glad I didn't, though. Once chapter three kicked in, the story turned into a rollercoaster of action and emotion.
Once you get used to the writing style, this book takes hold of you.
