I remember a core insight in anthropological studies was that stories came to fruition as a means of survival. Here that concept is taken a step further..ones internal stories can also be shaped to reorder the brain to cope with mental illness. Perception is everything, and we are too unique to believe that there is a “normal” way to view the world.

This book was slow to start but absolutely fascinating in his discussion on the power of the internal stories we have been told and continue to repeat, and those we infer. Effects that penetratre to genetic level and changes. Looking forward to thoughtful examination of this writing. My prediction is that Dr. Madrona will be considered one of the great thinkers in the psycho/medical/spiritual disciplines.
