This book is a great view into the musical and political state of the late 60's. we see musical boundaries being broken, while political boundaries attempt to prevent them from continuing. The relationship between Jim Morrison and his parents is outlined clearly as a head-butting battle against the common standard of conformity and tradition. So far this book has given me a great window into the life of Jim Morrison.

This book is a cool look into the life of someone growing up in the late 50's. I am very interested in Jim Morrison's story and so far it seems my interest is fair. Jim Morrison is a very interesting figure, he is energetic, fearless, and sort of goofy over all. I am very excited to get to the part where we start talking about how he became the singer for the doors. I am overall very excited to read more.
