Status Updates From Theodore Boone: The Abduction

SETTING: Theo and Ike are at The Kappa Theta house, which was a large white stone structure with some greek columns and a sweeping porch. They Are there because they believe that April is still alive traveling with a music band. Theo and Ike kept searching for her around the stage and the crowd, until Theo finally spotted April behind the drummer and went to take her home before anyone noticed.

I am frustrated. So many inconsistencies from book one, which I just finished. I am not sure if the intended age group would notice these, but at the same time, I want to give kids credit and think they would at least pick up on the fact that April’s parents were going through a divorce in book 1, but apparently still live together in this one. especially if they read the books back to back.

ANTAGONIST: Ike is the antagonist because he thinks Aprils dad might be the one guilty and not Jack Leeper. Everyone believes and decided Jack Leeper is guilty and should go to jail, even Theo. Ike makes Theo do some research on it and discuss this in court. The judge and police still think he is guilty and go to jail for kidnapping and murder and face life sentence unless he can prove he is innocent.

CLIMAX: The climax of this book is when there was a dead body founded in the river. A lot of police and Investigators came to the scene and identified the remaining cloths on the body, and the dead body turned out to be Theodores best friend April. When Theodore found out he was depressed, stressed, worried, and mad. He wanted to found the kidnaper and sentence him to prison to get justice for April.

CONFLICT: I think the type of conflict is character vs society because Theo is trying to help figure out a crime scene while getting chased by the police, getting tracked down to get asked questions. When April was missing and their was a dead body in the river, a lot of police came to Theos house to interrogate him and ask him questions. They were asking him questions about what April was wearing and where she was.

PROTAGONIST: The Protagonist or the main character is Theodore Boone. He is a 13 year-old kid, and is also becoming a kid lawyer. Theo's best friend April has gone missing and abducted. Theo and his town are are scared and worried for her. There big news on TV that a dead body has been found floating around at the river in down town. Theo is going to try to chase down the killer and get vengeance for April.
