Status Updates From Needful Things

Hard to keep track of who's killing who, over the audiobook medium. Sometimes you get a hint when he mentions the "favorite trinket" of the aggressor (or the deceased), but otherwise they all sort of run together since their murderous motives aren't 100% based on reality. Characters introduced late(r) into the story appear to just be 2-dimensional murder fodder.
