Loving it so far!!

I’m loving the story so far.
Max is such a huge a**hole and Swift’s low self esteem is little too relatable for my comfort…

Hmmm, now Max is being a nice guy. Interesting. He's the good AND bad cop all in one.

"I’ve got all the familiar old symptoms. And it’s not stopping. My head starts pounding, my heart starts racing, my gut is churning butterflies… God, I can almost smell it.”
“Did you smell it when it was stashed in the bathroom?”
That brought Swift up short. He gave a shaky laugh. “No.”
“Too bad. I was thinking we could use you after we retire Sparky.”
“Who?”
“Our drug-detection dog.”

LOL, no comment.

I don't know what to think about this story. I don't really like Max. And Swift seems to give him a lot of leeway to treat him badly, because he desperately needs his support due to his personal issues. And when Max does treat him kindly, Swift laps it up like sweet milk.

It seems like this typical Lanyon combo à la Adrien/Jake has drifted off into a poster book example of a toxic relationship.

He was wearing the coat Max had bought him last Christmas.

I don't get their relationship. They're not really a couple but they're exclusive, stay overnight and give each other Christmas presents. And they even write cards telling the other they miss them. Why not just call it a relationship?! I want to see more of Max to understand what's going on.

Please Josh Lanyon, save me from my M/M rut!
