Chapter 14: The Best Friend
Maybe my favorite chapter so far. Ryle points out all the qualities of Jesus that makes Him the best friend that we could ever have. He is ever faithful, ever true, and has laid down His life for us. What a joy it is to call Him friend.
"Yet a little time and thy Friend shall come to take thee home, and thou shalt dwell with Him for ever."
