I am LIVING for the Grover plot line.

I never enjoy reading about horse death. However, I do appreciate when a horse story puts it in. It keeps the book feeling “real”. Too many stories make it feel fake, like nothing truly bad will ever happen.

I like the conflict Katie has with the circus troupe. She likes them, and she wants to talk to them, but she’s so terrified of the fever that she feels like she can’t. It’s an interesting plot point.
