I’ve just started this book and it’s a bit difficult to grasp as the vocabulary used is beyond my comprehension at times. I’m finding it difficult to make a coherent image in my head with things so I need to look up things which break my flow.

But, for the most part what I understood of the first chapter is Heathcliff is being introduced via his tenant and he is being characterised as a ‘refined’ anomaly.
