Chapter around happiness. I agree that great marriages is surrounded by happiness and laughter.

Communication is key and can either make or break a relationship.

Finished the chapter about women wanting honesty in the marriage. I think this goes both ways for both men and women.

Just finished the chapter around men being financially responsible for the family.

I’m not a fan. The women section I feel is a bit degrading. At some point it says that for every 5 positives, there can be a negative...great advice until it also mention “the wives have a lot of making up to do”! Um....why the wife?

The chapter about family is all centered around the man so far. I’m hoping the second part will be a focus on father/mother relationship with the children.

Not a fan of this book. Feels outdated and written in the old generation discussion on marriage.

Chapter on submission. Not a fan of this book. I think it’s old school thinking. Since I started, I’ll finish it.

Finished the boy section. Now flipping it over to read the girl section. Not sure how I would keep the ages on track.

I was not a fan of the section of whether a marriage can survive homosexuality. It is very one sided and doesn’t take into consideration that God made all people in his reflection and he makes no mistakes. To only allow marriage between men and women is not right because we should encourage love and support love for overcoming.

Definitely some areas of the book feel out dates but I love the basics they are trying.
