Status Updates From Black, White, Other: In Sea...

The conflict is when Nina found out that her great great grandmother was a slave. She took it like anybody else would if they found out something about their family history. She was excited to find more stuff out about her great great grandmother and the things that happened. Along with that other problems around her started to come up like, Her innocent brother stole a bike ,and her dad getting a new girlfriend.

Nina is a fifteen year old girl who is going through a changing point in life. She loves her friends , family , and , reading . Nina is in middle school , She is mixed , and with curly brown hair .

Finally getting around to this and... yeah, I definitely should have read it in high school. It doesn't resonate with me now. I can see that it would be good for a lot of middle grade readers, but it's definitely not for me.
