I appreciate this author is TRYING to have positive consent. But I don’t think they understand what that means. Our hero has said “I won’t do anything without her consent”. But. The heroine has just said “I’m not ready for intimacy” and the hero says “I’m never going to stop trying to get you ready” and then proceeds to touch her and tell her “let me give you pleasure”. Uh. Not consent, dude!!

It’s weird that he would kiss her while she’s sleeping, especially with tongue. That is going towards non-consent. That might be SA. And the author and both characters act like this is totally normal.

Sex does not cure rape trauma.

Not sure if I want to have the father of Alex to be the main squeeze in this book. I will probably not care after a while. Lol.
