Status Updates From The Eye of Heaven

so far this reads like 'The Vampire Armand' fanfiction but I'm not complaining

Struggling with this one. The purpose is heavy, quite suited to the time period, I think, but hard going. But my problem lies more with a complete lack of connection with the characters. I know their situation is not of their making but but that isn't helping me cope with the darkness in their souls.

I can't help some sort of bemused mixed feelings about the terrifying woman who brings cataclysm in her wake and holds these beautiful men in unwilling thrall. I mean, perfect characterization of Lilith! But She's an... interesting choice of plot-driver. So far would recommend to people who like high-strung melodramatic vampire boys, though.
