Status Updates From As I Lay Dying

I like the second part but not the end with all the repetitive phrases. I like the daughter’s and youngest son’s plot line. The book talks about religion, community, family and secrets. I get why people liked it at the time

Kind of forgot how old this was until I heard a slur

I feel like I’m getting it now. I didn’t like it until at least 50 percent. It could time to adjust to the writing style. The audiobook also has a southern accent. It does feel atmospheric. Listening to while I finish wrapping presents

I don’t like the writing style. I’m not sure if the stream of concussion narrative or if it’s because of the old style vocabulary. The names don’t sound like names like Dewey Dell

I need a stream of consciousness narrative book to finish my reading challenge (and a book with a celebrity on the cover) thanks to the librarian for this suggestion. I had no ideas. I think the bell jar fits too and I may read that later
